Better than I remembered. I feel that I was able to appreciate this film as more of the love letter to European literature that it is— once I got over all the weird shit I was so focused on when I watched it back in theaters. It’s so enthralling and rewatch-able, I still don’t understand the creative choices made by the filmmakers, there are familiar feelings yet no relatable characters. Dramatic high-art poetry.
