  very well made, well shot, and well acted, but it was just too slow for me. i also don’t really know how to feel about the overall themes and messages. i also watched the second half of this after surgery so i’m on a lot of pain meds which might have effected the viewing experience.

  i think this one is gonna sit with me for a long time. Adam Driver gives probably one of the top 10 best acting performances I have ever seen, and Scar Jo also puts on a career best performance. Like how was Laura Dern the only one to win an Oscar for this movie! She wasn’t bad, but if she was gonna win an award for best supporting actress in 2019, it should have been for her role as Marmee in Little Women. Speaking of 2019, that might be the greatest year for cinema of all time. Anyways, great movie.
