    First 10-15 minutes was so bad I almost bailed. Weirdly, this movie about every 20 minutes would hit me with a joke or line that I actually would laugh hard at because it was so dumb. Like that “Is his dick too small for your butt?”line. But between those few parts, this movie is a steaming pile of dumb shit.

    The climax felt like a waste of time.

    DAUNTING BUT ALSO ENLIGHTENING.

    I was actually surprised how much this film had an effect on me. Loaded with uncomfortable realism and subtext, A Real Pain is a very sneaky and  cerebral experience. At least it was for me. 

    David, our protagonist played fantastically by Jesse Eisenburg, is an introverted neurotic man who is always thinking of everyone but himself. He doesn’t allow himself to process any feelings he may have about anything because he’s so preoccupied with other people’s emotions.…
