Inland Empire 2006
The process of an actor, and the suffering women have to put up with along the way. I appreciated the way the pain felt surmountable in this one.
As always no one captures the helpless terror of a bad dream better than David Lynch.

Poor Things 2023
What a picture.
Emma Stone gives a Daniel Day-Lewis tier performance, towering above everyone else, tossing us all over her shoulder and dragging us through a vibrant sexual journey of self discovery.
Sets unlike anything you've ever seen, a bizarre and engrossing score, and some czech new-wave inspired cinematography all lend in making this film feel like a breeze. In my opinion this director's most optimistic movie.
I find it very amusing to see some men's take aways, like they almost got the point but not quite.
