Average birthday experience
It has a lot of flaws and might suffer from being overhyped. That being said, there is an image in this film that does truly get under my skin. It is hard for a film to bring anything to the table that gets to me, but this does it. One of the shots of the doll in the black cloak is seared into my brain. It genuinely makes me so uncomfortable and I don't know why, but I have seen it in my dreams. Just such a rare feeling for me. Hats off for that alone.
