Entertaining to watch, but poorly-written dialogue, no emotional investment in the characters, too much unwarranted hype around the protagonist, and a lot of stuff that just didn’t make sense — prime example:
- Main Character’s Mom: “Come back soon, won’t you?”
- Main Character: “You know I will.”
^^ this exchange takes place after it was already well-established the main character was ignoring calls from home and hadn’t been back in more than 5 years.
Enjoyed the first half -- it was an interesting story told interestingly. The second half devolved into mere car violence.
Starting off 31 nights of Halloween with a classic. The Great Pumpkin does exist.
Spider-Man: No Way Home was great and lived up to, if not exceeded, its expectations.
Tom Holland has advanced as an actor and really brought a sense of character development in his role as Peter Parker / Spider-Man.
However, Willem Dafoe nearly stole the show with his return as the Green Goblin — his maniacal laugh bringing chills I haven’t felt since I was a small boy watching him in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man.
The scene where Peter’s spidey-sense starts tingling…
