I haven’t read the book. But I’ve seen the pictures and the books illustrations looked amazing.
Without reading the book or any other context the movie wasn’t that bad. Maybe if I read the book I’d give it a different review.

The Age of Adaline 2015
Kind of a unique story that my wife and I enjoyed. There was a lot of potential, but it could’ve been a lot worse too. I think Blake lively did a great job acting as a 100 year old woman in a 29 year olds body. That little detail landed well, I think if other details to the writing had a little more depth it would’ve been a really good story!

So much to unpack. But what a gorgeous film. I need to see this one again — denis is one incredible director though.
EDIT: I must say I couldn’t stop thinking about how much time it must have taken to render that Chrome dome of a ship!
Everything was immaculate and eye candy through and through. I love that even though this project put them back a few months they still did it right. It makes it feel like the film was made for the love of filming. Not for the money.
