  I like how this film doesn’t try to glorify war and those fighting said war. It shows how even the most naive and clumsy men can be transformed into cold blooded killers. This is best seen through Vincent d’onofrios character. When we are first introduced to him we see that he doesn’t take practice and training seriously. He simply doesn’t care.
