this is war and war is bad

love the complexities of politics and the fight for power within it, all amidst a full-blown revolutionary war.

amazing characters played by amazing actors

the bowl scene is iconic. the tunnel is predictable. the revolt scenes were… interesting. the twists are good but a little telegraphed, and the final main twist (iykyk) is practically great, but i wish it developed the aftermath a little more and forced katniss to defend her actions. idk. maybe not.

regardless, i love it and think it’s a good finale to one of my favorite dystopian series

revolution is tricky. war for the right reasons can still be bad.

a story about broad moral dilemmas told in a specific way.

    it’s haunting.

the actual footage and editing is well done for a blockbuster but it doesn’t push any boundaries.

    still enjoyed it

definitely lacks in it’s complexity beyond just being a cop thriller - for example, it had a real potential to craft something meaningful about how your actions impact others, but it only goes so far. this obviously is a big part of the a-plot, but ethan and nora’s relationship could have played a much…
