This film had me hooked within the first minutes... now if only it had ended there...
There were a couple funny moments between Gal Gadot and Chris Pine that would have made 1.5hours bearable but definitely not 2.5.
After spending time in Accra (where a good amount of this film takes place) It was so good to relive those memories via Sam Bazawule’s eye for detail and story telling.
The visual aspect of this film was amazing. I loved seeing the vibrant and vivid colors of Ghana as opposed to the harsh dry landscapes one usually seeing in films about African countries.
Stanley Tucci? Meryl Streep? Anne Hathaway? Emily Blunt? I mean if that doesn’t do anything for you I don’t know what you’re looking for...
Listen, we’re not gonna pretend this movie will go down in history as AMC’s top 100 or anything but if you looking for a easy watch with amazing quotability, you’ve found it.
Why 3 stars?
