  Was blown away by this. It captures such a mundane nightmare LA. If you want to see the true horror of a parking block captured on film, look no further! The static wides were sooo beautiful and the score sounds like POISON in the best way. Nel’s husband is…one of the most haunting specters I’ve ever seen.  Don’t be a sleepy cinephile and snooze on this. Do yourself a favor and GET SAFE!!!!

  While y’all were watching Best Picture contenders I was at home studying great and obscure cinema, per usual. I had my notebook out for this one - furiously jotting notes, taking inspiration. And yes, it was a Friday night. I don’t stop studying film just because it’s the weekend. 4 stars on this one. Harrowing, gorgeous brutality. Expect references to it in my upcoming work - references nobody, not even on the east side of Los Angeles, will get.
