  So there’s a lot of basic stuff that is always going to be freaky— seeing national iconography (or for me, a DMV native, seeing my homecoming photo spot) erupt in flames is… well, freaky! It’s an unsettling watch.

  Some of the grimiest characters I’ve ever seen here. Some thoughts:

  -FUCK the Taylor Swift Eras Tour echoing from the theaters around us, ruining moments of silence. Y’all suck.

  - The opening of this movie invites you into a speaking epic of a huge interwoven cast of characters and it’s simply brilliant.

  - What struck me the most was the casual expression of brutality Scorsese emphasizes with stillness. The before and after of brutal acts conveys a ton.
