The actors/crew did their best with an uninspired screenplay. This servicable sequel delivers the bare minimum with some stylistic flare but loses much of the personality that came from the original. Seriously, how do you not include the original soundtrack?

A Quiet Place 2018
I really enjoyed this film. It borrows and masterfully executes all the tricks in the old and new bag of the horror/post-apocalyptic genre (Jaws, Aliens, and even Signs). Beautifully acted and directed. The audience I was with had anxiety throughout the entire running time and cheered at the end. Sure to be a classic in its own right.

Speilberg leaves his mark on an action/adventure film for the new-ish age. The running time goes on for too long but what’s crammed in is a fun ride. Mark Rylance is a treasure and I hope the director continues to cast him.
