Generic to the point where there’s nothing it offers that hasn’t been done better. Plot contrivances and a lack of rising action make it feel designed to be watched while you’re on your phone. I can’t even muster disdain for it because it’s just there. An expensive memory hole.

The Monkey 2025
Nothing quite like it and yet so clearly Perkins to the point where in many ways The Monkey is Longlegs played with cartoon instruments. Very much a mileage may vary movie and I don’t fault anyone who didn’t like it (a couple walked out) but I dug this eccentric horror-comedy.
Tatiana Maslany and Theo James are great!
