Usually I’m a huge this should have been an 8 episode series gal but glad they kept this a movie. If it was any longer I fear they would have had to dive more into the logistics of the espionage and I didn’t care about that. Yes less Russian man, more psychologically torturous dinner parties.

Hoop Dreams 1994
Felt a little dated just documentary style wise with the voiceover and the way it was structured. Like they clearly had a lot of footage if the scope of the project was that long but I kept comparing it to something like Hard Knocks which maybe worked better because it could be episodic. Anyway, the 3 hours flew by and it’s a such a compelling story but couldn’t help but want more.
