  It's funny that this movie was a mostly faithful adaptation for about half the run time and then everything after he returns to Marseille is completely made up. Just one event (Rome) from that point on happens in the book at all.

  The movie removed ~15 characters from the books that have an impact on the story. Yeah, there may be too many characters in the book and they are hard to keep up with, but just removing them?…

  I knew next to nothing going into this, except for listening to defying gravity ~10 times.

  Banger of a movie musical, my favorite one I've seen. Defying Gravity itself had me locked tf in.
