FANTASTIC. It had a swan with glasses, a swan/villain brawl (I cackled), fun costuming, and taught me about some classic ballet stories. My main critique is that there were some loose ends in the world building/plot — still not sure wtf happened. Did Barbie wish/manifest the people in her life into being better after her weird ballet dream? Or were they like that all along and she just dream-danced through her anxieties and insecurities? As an anxious girly, I enjoy thinking it’s the latter. But her dress magically changes on stage at the end so idk

Do not watch. The music was bad/repetitive/all lazy covers, there was minimal character development, and the world-building was also deeply bad.

Very french. A bit whimsical and silly. Overall not a fan. Barbie's charactr lacked critical thinking skills and did very little for the plot. No climbing.

I feel enlightened. It was so good. Unfortunately there wasn't any climbing, but it definitely doesn't detract from the rest of the movie.
