Some of the best imagery of all time. One of the best scores this decade. Just wish the writing was at the level of everything else.

I truly believe that every time you make a movie, no matter the budget, you should be trying to make the greatest movie of all time. I rarely felt that presence lasts year outside of a few movies. This is the one that went for it the most. (and it was shot in 30…

Terrible! Just when you don’t know if it could get any dumber, it does.

Very rare to find a film, even amongst Scorsese’s filmography, where the next minute feels more important than the previous one. Absolutely no lulls in this movie and it gets better and better right until the very end.

As everyone has said, Leo and Gladstone are amazing in this movie. Flower Moon also confirmed my belief that De Niro is the best actor ever. He was so good at playing the powerful rat, a role I can’t recall him playing before.

The closing line from Scorsese was really powerful and was a perfect ending to this movie which might be Scorsese’s most important politically to date.

    Juror #2

    ★★★

Not really fair to compare this to 12 angry men, but it’s hard to not think about the similarities during the movie. I am sad to say that I found this to be much worse in quality, particularly in the acting department. Part of what makes 12 angry men so amazing is that every actor in that jury gives a great performance. In Juror #2 Hoult is the only good actor on the jury once Simmons exits the movie.

Visually not all that great either, but it does make you think. It’s a great plot and it does make you feel a little uneasy.
