I wanted to love this film, but it’s a bit janky. Lots of unique thoughts but none of them hang together well. Always a bad sign when there’s a ton of exposition.

Civil War 2024
Falls just short of making a point about the state of humanity and the divisive political landscape we all live in here in the US. Harrowing and annoying storylines interweaved together. Anxiety-inducing cinema experience. Went home to watch Apocalypse Now to remind myself it is possible to make an apolitical anti-war film that is also a meaningful watch.
