  As a film this is pretty mediocre. The dialogue is eye-rollingly poor - it often reads like an adult woman trying to talk like a 17 year old, so I gather they kept a lot of it from the book.

  Yikes. Ostensibly marketed as a 'queer erotic horror-comedy', it's clear that A Closer Walk with Thee is sincerely confused about what it wants to be.

  For me, it was light on comedy and heavy on horror - but not the typically trashy low budget horror we all know (and some of us, myself included) love. What was truly horrifying is how many negative gay stereotypes it managed to crank out in its 90 minute runtime.
