    "There will be no order, only chaos."

    Something about directors' first movies is so fascinating to me. It's like the first stone being laid out for the path ahead. For Aronofsky, Pi is bold, gripping, and a little unhinged. The black-and-white cinematography and chaotic energy pull you in, creating a unique, almost hypnotic and intense experience. I might be biased, but I think it’s a great movie…even if it leans a little into pretentious territory.
