The greatest film ever made. I genuinely don’t think it’s close. Profoundly impactful. Changed my life.

    Midsommar for intellectuals.

PTAs most enigmatic and nuanced film I’ve seen so far.

Comparing this work to his earlier films such as Boogie Nights there’s certainly a very distinct difference in how PTA explores themes such as sexual desire, external validation and manipulation.

I found Freddie Quell and Eddie Adams (played by Wahlberg in Boogie Nights) to be inherently very similar characters who are both desperately searching for meaning and belonging, despite the context of their stories being tremendously different. …

First half was great until the kid turns into a teenager and literally becomes the most shallow, insufferable loser in the history of cinema.

Imagine investing 12 years into this wtf. Linklater definitely knew he was cooked watching this kid grow up (no hate tho).

    Miserable and potent.

The fact that Richard Gadd is not only the lead actor, but also the writer of this miniseries, and it’s based entirely on his real life experiences is hard to wrap my head around.

One of the most raw and emotional series I’ve ever seen. In the beginning you expect a shallow and typical story about a stalker, however everything changes halfway through the show.

A profound depiction on how trauma affects people. There aren’t many pieces of media I’ve…

Slightly underwhelmed with this. I wasn’t invested in any of the characters other than the main two.

I expected a heartbreaking, gut wrenching film but it just didn’t really do it for me.

Overall I did enjoy it quite a lot, but my expectations were set too high.
