Horror anthologies are hit or mess, just like book ones. I've already forgotten which others of the V/H/S series I've seen. This was interesting in that it was science fiction horror, so aliens, androids, and...um...whatever "Fur Babies" was. Medical experimentation? "Stowaway" was my favorite because the situation it set up was so horrifyingly bleak but also perfectly realized. I think "Dream Girl" was my least favorite; it was just gooshy and kinda boring.

Slash/Back 2022
This thrilling movie about a group of Inuit girls battling an alien invasion to save their small town near the Arctic Circle would be a great watch-along with Vampires vs. the Bronx. Both have a love of horror movies and a strong sense of place, with realistic teen characters dealing with everyday drama in the midst of supernatural horrors. The music is incredible as well. I really liked it!

Smile 2022
My wife and I legit screamed at the same jump scare, screamed again because we scared each other, then had to pause the movie because we were both cracking up. I liked this; it was creepy, and now we’re not allowed to smile at each other for a while until it stops being weird.
