One of the most beautiful looking, imaginative films I’ve seen recently. The score is fantastic and most of the humour landed (aside from some of the more juvenile bits). Elemental 2023
While visually beautiful everything about this movie is very bland, from the characterisation to the hit and miss humour. The film starts with a weak first act, has a decent second half and drops off once again in the third. It’s themes are mostly on the nose, although there are a few smaller more nuanced moments which I appreciated. Overall, while it’s serviceable I expect more from Pixar.
