  Really really loved this. I can’t decide if it’s 4 or 4.5 for me. Those last few minutes were just a little too twisty for me but they might go down smoother on a rewatch. A great film, a classic for a reason. Great acting, great long scenes, and an impeccable smart script.

  Yeah idk. Kinda think this is a mess. A lot of pretentious talk with no substance. Everyone knew your husband was cheating on you. And I assumed you did for most of the film. Lot of threads dropped on the way. The dream sequences, the homoeroticism, the tarot cards. None of this was used for anything later on. Shirley and Rose’s relationship doesn’t feel real. And a lot of these complaints can be done away with a Rose isn’t real…

  Can’t believe this came before Zodiac. I know Bong cites that film allllll the time so I just assumed it influenced this movie but NOPE. I’ve been waiting to see this for a while and it did not disappoint. I'll be thinking about that line about the FBI vs. the Korean police force and about land and how Korean detectives work with their legs while the FBI works with their mind due to the difference amounts of land in each country for a longggg time. That rules. In many ways this is anti-Zodiac.
