Hot Fuzz 2007
I recently visited the small village of Wells, where the bulk of Hot Fuzz was shot, and it definitely gave me a fuzz—I mean, buzz—to wander past the highly-recognizable sights and drink a pint in the now-modernized pub where Nicholas and Danny cemented their friendship and shot down a bunch of baddies. Perhaps that's why it's modernized? Because it was destroyed while shooting the film? I certainly hope so. Shaun of the Dead is a masterpiece, but Hot Fuzz might actually be better.

Deadpool & Wolverine 2024
It was amusing, and that's about it. Outside of Wolverine's grumpiness, all the best bits were either throwaway jokes or hero cameos—and often a combo of the two. I enjoyed the payoff of finally seeing Wolverine's mask, but it usually looked kinda crooked on Jackman's face, which was maybe intentional? For laffs?
Unfortunately, the attempt to cram some world-saving selflessness into Deadpool trims too much of his edginess, which is pretty much the whole point of Deadpool.
