Breathtakingly beautiful—I was mesmerized from the first moment of this masterpiece. The cat will stay with me for a long time—he seemed so lifelike and I was fully engrossed in his plight. I loved that there were no people and they never tried to explain what had happened. I was fascinated by how the animals gradually began to help each other and become a found family. Highly recommended!!

This movie is the perfect fun buddy comedy - appealing leads, plenty of action, and enough mystery to keep you guessing, but light enough that you're not going to think about it too long. The chemistry between Russell Crowe and Ryan Gosling is incredible, and the actor who plays Gosling's teenage daughter, Holly, makes for a compelling 3rd player. This is my favorite Nolan movie - perfect in its visual beauty and economy of words. I loved Oppenheimer, too, but that is a much more heady, talky movie - nothing wrong with that, but I'm more impressed when a filmmaker is able to convey so much with imagery, and when the actors are so expressive even with minimal dialogue (especially Mark Rylance). Watching at home can't compare to having seen it first in the theater, but the smaller screen did give me more opportunities to appreciate the performances, since the grand visual spectacle was diminished. Still an impressive achievement.
