Good Time 2017
I was enthralled with this film from the very start. The characters—even the most minor—are strong and well developed. The Safdie brothers use lots of old-school techniques that take this modern heist-gone-wrong film out of its modern setting. The film, which is primarily set at night, has a lot of visual noise, which harkens back to the days of film. Combined with birds-eye angles and a heavy reliance on zoom, it reminded me a lot of films from the 70s.…
