Hilarious and spooky at the same time, with some great surprises along the way.
I love this movie, and all of its glorious meta-references to horror films.
So, so, good... and the characters and acting for the roles can't be beat.

I really enjoyed the fun concept (80's local TV special made like its been recorded on VHS.)
It even has "commercial breaks" in the film that do an excellent job of being fun and entertaining in their own right, giving me all that warm-fuzzy VHS nostalgia... but they are only fun for the first few.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the acting throughout.
Very good work.
Creepy vamp makeup and setup and mixed character motivations make this a fun ride throughout.
