Hoped (expected?) to love this but I didn't. Everything about Robert Pattinson's performance is worth the price of admission but the rest of the move is a mixed bag. Tonally inconsistent. Would have been much more game for the class commentary and/or satire in 2023 when this was finished filming, or even six months ago. Seeing it now struck the wrong chord.

An efficient and harrowing 75 minutes of terror. As a lover of slasher movies this made me feel squirrelly and uncomfortable in the way that Funny Games did. Not a "fun" time unless you're able to find pleasure in that feeling from your gut that tells you to cut and run. Has an authenticity that makes it feel as though you shouldn't be watching it.
