  This movie really surprised me!
    At first, I was worried it was going to be a live action Lego Movie, but then it had its own story that started developing. It was just a fun and kinda weird film and I wanted to watch it again almost immediately after. You don’t need to be a huge gamer to enjoy this film. Could be fun for families or couples on a date alike. Highly recommended.

  As always, Ben Platt’s vocal abilities never cease to amaze me.
    There were some beautiful and strong moments, which I expected since I knew the premise of the film. However,  overall, the scenes all seemed a bit disjointed from one to the next. The songs were definitely the best parts.

  This movie was highly entertaining and relatively easy to follow. The believability of Chris Pratt’s character being a scientist isn’t nearly as strong as his believability as former military, but his military background definitely had more chances to shine in this film. The premise was really interesting and I love when family dynamics are mixed in for the drama and/or incentives of the characters. And (though a bit morbid) I appreciate the reality that not every character made it to…
