Straight off the bat, not a great movie. But you have to appreciate the fact that this was an independent movie with a mere 500k budget. Red Rooms 2023
A bleak and unsettling tale that dives into an obsessive mind. The score, sound design, and cinematography blended together to create a haunting atmosphere that made seemingly normal scenes stop your heart. The scares are few but one scene in particular plows into you like a train. I’ll have to sit with this one for a bit but this might be the best horror movie of the year.
