Love Lies Bleeding 2024
Strong beginning, wonderful plant and pay offs, very well sequenced, writing leaned a bit too cheesy but it worked, the characters are very well flushed out. Wonderful and consistent cinematography, and a stunning use of surrealism. A little cheesy all over but it works!

Downloaded this app after watching because I couldn’t think of a better first entry. There’s so much to say, but all that needs to be known is that Yorgos provides female characters an unmatched amount of agency and authority that’s beyond refreshing, if not, game changing precedent.
There are a lot of things this film creates precedent for, the absurdity, the level of clarity in parable, the ease of its political sovereignty, the scale of production design, the cinematography!
Never have I seen a story so complex paired with close-to-perfect execution it becomes simple despite its magnitude.
