Great use of a single location, it didn’t come off as a Covid pivot or just one of those films made during that time period when everyone tried to limit contact.
Really love the performances and the ever shifting score that would build quietly in the background and then crescendo at the perfect moment. But the lack of eroticism and the hard pivot at the end, having the two main characters fall in love, really took the wind out the sails for me.

A very surface level attempt at an erotic sex thriller, exploring powerlessness, sexual kinks and preferences, and forms of abuse. I do think Antonio Banderas had the best scene of the whole movie when Kidman admits to what she’s done; wasn’t expecting his display of rage, contempt, and heartbreak to be that visceral. Also, the score and soundtrack were great, very tapped in and meticulously paired.
