Always been a big fan of the Legend himself. The art was really spectacular in the movie! lovely characters, great greedy villains, and wholesome character development arcs! I also liked how the ending was a connection to Shrek 5, smooth and smart way to hint at it.

Not enough recognition.
I truly think that stories similar to ‘Look Back’ are underrated as a genre in anime. Same goes for an anime with similar themes called ‘Bakuman’ that gives the audience a “behind the scenes” of these mangakas works being turned into stories people read. That these artists have their own stories.
Fujino wanted to be good as Kyomoto at background visuals, whilst Kyomoto wanted to be as good as Fujino in terms of drawing characters and stories.…
