Powerfully pro worker and anti capitalist in a way that doesn’t romanticize the violence on screen. Stacked cast, great setting. It has some 80s touches that I think stop it from being a 5 star film for me (kid pastor in particular) but this is great. Detective Medavoy from NYPD Blue as a company shitheel is impeccable.

Incredible takedown of his own mythology by Clint here. Hackman is tremendous, steals every scene he’s in. Some remarkable shots, the snowy morning scene as Will Munny recovers from his beating floored me.

Fiennes is great. Ending is hokey. Supporting players bring a lot here. Score is distracting. In stretches the pace picks up which brings some excitement. I enjoyed but this is middling stuff.
