    Pretty impressive film making that holds up and only makes me want to dive into the other two volumes as soon as humanly possible. The character development of Kaji and the performance of Tatsuya Nakafai are superb. Can’t really think of any real negatives.. and for a 3 hour run time, it flew by.

    I had the same issue many critics had with this film—the POV perspective just didn’t work for me, especially when they threw Turner into the mix. It made it hard for me to settle into the film, and I felt like the character development suffered in the first half due to the way the story was told. Combined with the non-linear storyline, this made the film somewhat challenging to follow.
