    “I am an appetite.”

Succumb to the darkness. Where you accept everything about yourself even if the world is out to kill you for it.

Cold as mountain metal and smelling of death, bury me in the dirt that spit this out into existence.

    Aaron Taylor-Johnson sneaky steals it.

    It’s Michael Myers vs the good-guy-with-a-gun fetish-fantasy.

An unstoppable force vs American exceptionalism.

An unkillable object that just wants to go home vs people who believe they can defeat evil because everything is their fault and only they can stop it.

It’s about people being so fucking wrong all the time that they take everything down with them.

And Michael Myers stabs the shit out of everyone.

Anthony Michael Hall’s performance with that bat deserved an Oscar.

A+ nonsense. A++ use of chicken fireballs (?) and blaming capitalism and fast food restaurants.

Your brain is now porridge courtesy of some of the best martial artists in cinema history.

Rules. Full stop. Jack Quaid is doing sincere Jim Carrey and nails it. The script is excellent, Amber Midthunder continues to be an under-utilized weapon in movies, and the gnarly bits are gnarly. A+ cinema.

The three hour version woulda probably been great.

The six hour version probably woulda been great.

It’s not new to say that the stories based on King works about decaying towns and communities just need that room to breathe.

That said, this has the common decency to have a good fuckin time and the cast nails it.

The crowd actively laughed when “MAX Original” popped up at the front so that was nice too.
