Not sure if it’s a smart movie that came out dumb or if the whole thing was actually just incredibly dumb all along.
There is a Frank Capra-esque scene in the very beginning that’s a powerful example of visual narration. The main character’s life journey summed up by the evolution of a static image. Great stuff.
