First time re-watching this since childhood was a wonderful experience. Having gone through a minor Shyamalan re-watch last year or so, this was like a whole new piece to me. A deeply sentimental film, I can see how some saw this as the beginning of the fall of Shyamalan simply because he takes some of his biggest swings here and continues defining his filmmaking style and ethos. The sadness and the hope is palpable, and Bryce Dallas Howard's trek through the woods is some of Shyamalan'S absolute peak work. Really loved it, and would very much like to rewatch it once more.

I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking of Nope while watching this. But it's quite entertaining just to hear how outrageous Studios used to allow their productions to be. Can't imagine anything like this being created today lol

Vibes. Straight vibes. I want to get high and watch this again.
To the person the row in front of me who started recording the movie with their phone, you make me sick
