Fantastic ensemble cast here, Fred Willard absolutely cooks with maybe 5 minutes of screentime. Some of the characters don’t 100% work for me, but the ones that do are impossible to look away from. Michael McKean and John Michael Higgins with their shih tzus killed me every time.

Really disappointing considering all the talent involved. Pattinson is great, and Ruffalo is certainly acting. I ended up being fairly disconnected for most of it once I realized the fairly wacky tone was going to be persistent through the whole movie. By the end, I was so ready for the movie to be over that I was just constantly annoyed by each character decision that prolonged the movie.

The Curse 2023
I can’t believe a legitimate network/streamer gave Fielder and Safdie the money to create this show. So many ideas and critiques of modernity, and one of the wildest final episodes I’ve ever seen. It’s borderline impossible to recommend unless you are a die hard fan of Fielder’s work, a wholly unique series that I’m glad exists.
