I’ve seen this countless times, yet still on every watch find new nuances and interpretations. A prescient masterpiece, the greatest exploration of human psychology in the age of technology we’re ever likely to see.

High & Low – John Galliano

    ★★★½

Incredible how maybe the most lauded fashion designer of his generation looks and dresses like an Italian crust punk.

As much a case study in the intersection of capitalism, addiction and mental illness as it is about Galliano’s work. A balanced portrait of a brilliant man within his bubble, who was often struck by idiocy when he stepped outside of it.

Peak Nolan - subtle as a brick, yet nothing of real value to say. The first half was entertaining enough, but after the bomb is set off, we’re left with tedious courtroom drama full of painfully cheesy dialogue, reliant on an overwrought, oppressive score to provide any drama or substance.
