I need to say this before I review another movie. This movie pissed me off.
The main character, Frida, was so one-dimensional it was absolutely infuriating and honestly insulting. Doe-eyed, eager, and overly-trusting. Never did she doubt her safety with a man she met for a millisecond at her job. It seemed so unrealistic.

didn’t like Japanese people being the backdrop for these two white protagonists, didn’t like the racist jokes, didn’t like the very uncomfortable age gap. thought the movie was pretty and that it encapsulated loneliness well. the world seems to be moving around you and you feel like you aren’t apart of it at all.
