It is fine. Instead of having an overarching narrative you're given snapshots of the emotional weight the plot gives, anthology style, and you either like it or you don't like it. I don't like it. I think this is one of those things where it only works if none of this information is new to you whatsoever
In the first 20 minutes this guy says that he makes art out of sugar to honor and bring awareness to the exploited laborers of St. Kitts sugar industry. He doesn't realize that he is literally the demand for labor exploitation's supply, and this complete lack of self awareness and nuance continues for the rest of the documentary.
The soundtrack kind of fucking slaps though.
First act was kinda of a slog to me but then this veers straight into horror film oh my god. I didn't really care for the "ooooh 1980s aesthetic" gimmick. Sebastian Stan slowly morphs into Trump over two hours and it's so scary.
