Two thoughts:
1. Until watching this movie I didn’t know what the color red was actually like (I need that specific scarf in my hands right now).
2. Lesbian vampires are always a win. That is the eleventh commandment. Citizen Kane, The Godfather Part 2 and It’s a Wonderful Life would be better with lesbian vampires.
This movie, in its classical, conservative, invisible filmmaking style, is actually more transgressive than a postmodern movie that tries to break the rules, for example by having the protagonist look like an ape. Just on a first watch (I’ll watch this movie again in cinemas), the technical aspects were all superb, some scenes were incredibly gorgeous and the score was excelent.
