Alright! Another re-watch! 7 years since watch number 1, and I think I was extremely sick and watched this inbetween the SpongeBob SquarePants movie and event horizon. And I liked it.
Since watching it I've seen a couple more Diablo Cody written films and have found myself drawn to that style,
I also have this strange nostalgia for movies released from like 07-09 so revisiting this was like a comfort blanket.

The Boy and the Heron 2023
I genuinely always feel bad when a film most people love or relate to leave me cold. But sadly this movie just didn't click with me, I can appreciate the animation and character designs ( the parakeets were some of my favourites design wise) and the voice acting was top notch, no arguments here. But I honestly just found this movie dull and at most points I found myself 20 minutes had gone by and I hadn't even been registering anything. Definitely a wonderful piece of art, but this is definitely a film I'm not in a rush to come back to

I started this short rolling my eyes, I Saw it was the longest short so far, it started very much human bad robot good and I was like "really? this is the plot we are giving so much time to!?"
But respect were respect is due, I came around on this.
