I throughly enjoyed watching this film.
The writing was a little cheesy, dangerously leaning into Hallmark romcom at times. But overall it was quite funny and entertaining.
It was so interesting to explore the different stories within the Young family. It worked so well to communicate their dynamic.
The style was impressive at times. I especially liked the framing of the party scene where Rachel is meeting different family members.

The film is such a great commentary on racism, the dangers of violence, and the complexity of humanity.
The use of color was really interesting but some of the stylistic choices were not my favorite.
Overall, it was well done and surprisingly, quite funny.
WOW! First of all, this film was absolutely breathtaking! The world building, costumes, sets, it was all so detailed and incredibly beautiful.
Both Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande gave phenomenal performances. Cynthia is crazy talented and was the perfect Elphaba. I was initially a little worried about the casting of Ariana as Glinda, but she really proved me wrong. She embodied the character very well and her comedic timing was perfect.

No. Absolutely not. I really hate this.
I quite enjoyed the beginning and the middle. Lou is pretty funny with her Molahonkey song and bumblebee tights.
BUT WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT ENDING. I wanted to throw something at my computer. His life is absolutely worth living. I thought that was gonna be the whole point of the film. It’s not loving someone to say “you’re better off without me” and then end your life. He is NOT a burden. She loved him.
Will never watch again. I am very angry right now.
