Pay attention to the final fight on the sand. The light keeps changing. One shot it's bright sunlight on their faces, then it's overcast. Very sloppy and distracting once you see it.

Excellent motivated use of the split diopter throughout most of the movie. One egregious use. In the room in Langley with Kitrige during the break-in, De Palma uses it to show the Gatekeeper of the NOC list the back of the room in focus. He does nothing in that shot.

It's a lightly fictionalized version of when Kevin was in high school and hanging out with his friends. One of them, Ernie O'Donnell, is the co-owner of the theater and is one of the producers of the film.
