  I had no doubt Barbie would be such a slay. I haven’t heard an audience laugh this much at a movie in years. It shines the most when it leans into its playfulness — production design, costumes, and one liners are supreme gems here.

  Nothing in my mind could have prepared me for what this movie was. I heard through the grapevine it was bad and regressive and ugly but I thought surely SOMETHING valuable must be in it to earn it so much praise and attention and — it’s just BAD. This isn’t even basic movie audience crowd pleasing swill — it just genuinely sucks from Selena Gomez’s painful Spanish accent to literally every single fucking song.
