this movies blemished since count dracula never flies with bats or counts anything. also theres a dire handful of screenwriting 101esqe problems that made the third act pointless
eggers has maintained his weakness when it comes to the otherworldly--hes decent at intimating it, but, just like with the final shot of Lighthouse, he cant serve the beef when its time to put up or shut up. all this movie's talk of the ethereal, hints at the lovecraftian, planes of angels and demons. *thats* what the third act should have been set up for exploring and portraying, instead of pretty underwhelming sex scenes. pretty sick first half

The biggest problem is that its never actually demonstrated that Juror 2 killed the girl. Maybe he indeed hit a deer and it was someone else a few minutes later who killed the girl and ran off to florida. Thered be no chance of ever convicting Juror 2, maybe even with a confession, making a lot of his and his worywort lawyers' concerns moot, and the final shot of the DA unthreatening.
